New Product Development

Innovation is embedded in our corporate culture. We consistently meet the demands of an ever-changing world, adapting to the desire of a very critical eye. The New Product Development Team works hand in hand with our Operations and Sales Team to create fresh and new patterns that will be the cutting edge, leading trends of each new season.

The Creative Design Team draws inspiration from everyday fashion and trends. We consistently purchase and license new artwork from around the world, bringing talented and prolific artist’s designs into the world of textiles.  Most of our designs are original and thus copyrighted under the Softline trademark.


The Operations Team manages the various systems needed to run our business in the most proficient and streamlined manner possible. Order processing,  warehouse management, inventory control, production and shipping must work in synergy. Add to that our international Sourcing Team  responsible for continually feeding our Product Development Team with new ideas and designs from respected, high quality mills globally, and you have a viable, productive, innovative company called Softline at your service.  We use mills from all over the world including China, Central America, India, Turkey and Europe.

Our Planning and Logistics Team also works closely with our Operations Team insuring logistic solutions are tailored to our customers’ specific needs. We can accommodate most electronic platforms including EDI and SPS. We are capable of arranging international shipments either through our DIP (Direct Import Program), Port to Port or via airfreight. e are very flexible with years of experience in finding the most cost-effective, timely mode of shipment available to meet a customer’s budget and deadlines.  We can provide FOB Softline or destination pricing, CNF, CIF proforma invoice quotations and accept all forms of payment including credit cards, wire transfer and letter of credit. We handle all the preparations and paperwork keeping the customer informed alll along the way with on time delivery.

Quality Control

Softline Home Fashions, Inc. follows a very strict quality control process. Our products both fabric and ready-made curtains must pass a stringent procedure before orders leave our door.

Our Quality Control (QC) starts overseas at the mill with people in place to insure first quality goods only are shipped to us.  Once we receive the bolts, a random sampling of each pattern and color is rolled out and inspected for defects.  If defects are found, then the entire lot of that color is inspected.

A third layer of QC is in place in our ready-made production side just before a finished panel is to be folded for packaging, the panel itself is inspected for flaws and also defect in workmanship.  Rodney and Jason Carr, owners of Softline, travel to China regularly making sure that the mill’s QC protocol remains strong and consistent.  We consider all our mills a partner because our reputation depends so much on their vigilence for quality production.


Softline has sales representatives located across the USA, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. Each of our “reps” have many years in the field who understand their territory, their customer’s needs and for most of our customers, are the only face they ever see in person from Softline.  We are very proud of our Sales Team, not just because of how well they can sell our products, but more importantly because they embody the trust, integrity and reliability that we expect from every Softline employee.

We continually receive wonderfull compliments on how friendly and helpful their rep was to them.  We know the importance of going that extra mile and our reps do it in a heartbeat from order to follow up to backorder tracking to make sure any problems or issues are resolved quickly and to the customer’s satisfaction.  Something that all of us at Softline are dedicated to.
