Jason Carr talks to the Los Angeles Business Journal about the Cargo Situation
Jason Carr, president of Gardena-based Softline Home Fashions, said his company was “very happy” to hear about the agreement, but it would still take two to three months to clear its backlog of cargo.
Softline, which imports fabric and curtains for national retailers, had goods with a retail value of $1.9 million sitting idle last week. While it waits for the backlog to be whittled down, it will fly in goods to satisfy time-sensitive orders, Carr said.
